This drama is adapted from the manga of the same name. It tells the story of a "poor detective with keen observation and heavy debt" and a "girl with a magical ability to distinguish lies" in the early Showa era of Kujukuya Town. They solve difficult cases intertwined with "lies" and "truth", and gradually develop feelings for each other.
