Description:The 12-year-old girl Dalva was strictly controlled by her pedophile father and shaped into a Barbie doll. She also believed that she was a woman and there was nothing wrong with loving her father until her father was arrested. This film is the feature film debut of French director Emmanuelle Nicole. She challenged an extremely difficult moral theme and used restrained and clear lens language to point directly to serious and sharp social issues. The camera closely follows the protagonist Dalva, recording her difficult process from being shaped into a mature woman, through self-awakening, and slowly learning to become a young girl. Zelda Samson, a new actor who plays Dalva, won the Rising Star Award in the Critics' Week unit of the 2022 Cannes Film Festival for her powerful performance. The film also won the FIPRESCI Critics Award in the parallel unit of the Cannes Film Festival.
