Genshiken. This name, which doesn't make sense from just looking at these three words, is actually the abbreviation of "Modern Visual Culture Research Society". This seemingly sophisticated club is actually a small world for studying animation and gathering otakus and otakus. Freshmen Sasahara Kanji (voiced by Oyama Kosuke) and Kosaka Makoto (voiced by Saito Kanzuki) joined Genshiken and embarked on a path they could never return from. A group of otakus with different personalities began their college life at Genshiken. On the one hand, they were addicted to the joy of the second dimension; on the other hand, they had to deal with the real life of the third dimension. In this drama, we will see the true face of otakus. They are not stereotyped, and they are not the usual appearance of otakus in our imagination.
