In 2000, in California, the United States, the famous Afghan writer Amir (Khalid Abdalla) received a phone call that brought him back to his childhood... In Kabul, Afghanistan in 1978, Amir (Zekiria Ebrahimi) was a rich young man, and Hassan (Ahmad Khan Mahmoodzada), the son of the servant Ali, was his loyal follower and playmate. The two participated in a traditional kite-fighting competition, and Amir experienced something unforgettable for his whole life, and their fate changed accordingly: Ali and Hassan left Amir's home and disappeared; with the outbreak of the Afghan war, Amir and his father immigrated to the United States and lived a new life.
