Because of his failure in the college entrance examination, the urban youth Hirano Yuki (played by Shota Sometani), who had just bid farewell to high school, stood at the crossroads of life. He was attracted by the beautiful girl on the forestry trainee promotional materials by chance, so he came to a remote mountain village in Mie Prefecture where there was no mobile phone signal to receive a one-year forestry training course. At first, he was lazy and unmotivated, so he was reprimanded by his predecessor Iida Yuki (played by Ito Hideaki). Just as Courage was about to escape, he met the cover beauty Ishii Naoki (played by Nagasawa Masami) and returned to the dormitory by chance. After the preliminary training, Courage followed his predecessor Iida to Kamigori Village and began to practice and study on the spot with his master (played by Mitsuishi Ken). The harsh environment polished the pride and impetuousness of this urban youth, and he unknowingly grew into an excellent lumberjack who could stand on his own...
