In the 1960s, after the war, Japan experienced the Great Depression and rapid economic development. There was a restless and fanatical atmosphere throughout the country. In the summer of a certain year, high school student Kaoru Nishimi, who seemed to be completely out of touch with the times, quietly transferred from Yokosuka to an ordinary town in Nagasaki Prefecture.
