Directed by Jan Komasa, the film tells the story of the spiritual transformation that 20-year-old Daniel undergoes while living in a youth correctional facility. He wants to be a priest, but his criminal record makes this impossible. When he is sent to work in a carpenter's workshop in a small town, he disguises himself as a priest and takes over the parish by mistake. A young, charismatic missionary arrives in this community that has just experienced a tragedy, and the reconstruction of the community gives Daniel unlimited opportunities.
