Ziyuan and her younger sister Zique, two new immigrants from Hunan, grew up in Hong Kong. In addition to facing identity and poverty, they also faced a bigger proposition: a father who had been taking drugs for many years (played by Wu Kangren). Since childhood, their father has been erratic, moody, and often disappeared suddenly because of imprisonment, which made the two sisters feel uneasy for a long time. When they were young, they would try to please their father. In middle school, they had the right to speak and began to resist, struggle, and escape. When they grew up, they thought they could completely break away from their father, but they found that all the people and things they liked were actually related to their father's shadow and were related to a certain childhood memory... The film is adapted from a short story by director Zhu Ziyan. It depicts the separation of father and daughter for 20 years, and remembers the joys and sorrows of the growth of a pair of sisters.
