Although Carl Allen (Jim Carrey), who is over 30 years old, has no worries about food and clothing, his life can be described as a complete failure. He divorced his wife three years ago and has always lived a single life. He works in a bank, but basically he is in a state of eating and waiting for death and no hope of promotion. In life, he refuses to interact with others, but prefers to stay at home and watch movies. His whole life seems to be shrouded in gray fog. At the suggestion of a friend, Carl came to an institution called "Mr. Good" for consultation. Under the guidance of his mentor Terence (Terence Stamp), he tried to answer every question in his life in a positive way.
