Adapted from Michael Crichton's best-selling novel of the same name. This film is a miniseries directed by the Scott brothers from the 2008 TV series. In the small town of Piedmont, Utah, a man and a woman are dating on the mountain when a satellite falls. The curious two bring the satellite back to the town, but they don't know that they also bring a terrible disaster back to the town. Suddenly, a terrible virus breaks out in the town, and people die for unknown reasons. To prevent the virus from spreading to other cities, the army blocks the town and sends a scientific team codenamed "Andromeda" to find out the source of the disease.
