Four years ago, Emily (Rooney Mara) fell into depression after her husband Martin (Channing Tatum) was imprisoned. Now that Martin is out of prison, Emily's depression has not decreased. Instead, she attempted to commit suicide by driving in the parking lot. After the suicide attempt, doctor Jon (Jude Law) began to treat her. Jon learned that Emily's previous doctor was Siebert, so he went to Siebert to find out some information. Jon prescribed several drugs for depression to Emily, but none of them seemed to work. Emily suggested that she take a drug called Ablixa, which was recommended to her by her colleague Julia. After taking this new drug, Emily's condition improved, but she began to sleepwalk. Jon told her that sleepwalking was a side effect of taking this drug. One night, Martin returned home and found Emily sleepwalking in the kitchen. Emily even stabbed Martin with a knife. Martin died, and the court sentenced Emily not guilty, but she had to be treated in a mental hospital.
