The first BRICS co-production film, "Where Has Time Gone", was produced by Jia Zhangke. It brought together five film directors from China, Russia, India, Brazil and South Africa. With the attitude of "staying true to our original aspiration", they each shot a short film with the theme of "Where Has Time Gone", and used their own unique perspectives to tell their different understandings of time and emotions. The five short films are: "The Trembling Earth" by Brazilian director Walter Salles, "Breathing" by Russian director Alesky Fedochko, "Mumbai Mist" by Indian director Madhar Bhandarkar, "Rebirth" by South African director Jamel Qubekar and "Spring" by Chinese director Jia Zhangke.
