"Phone Booth" is a thriller directed by Joel Schumacher and starring popular actor Colin Farrell (who just starred in "Daredevil" and "The Recruit"). A ringing phone may change your life, but for another person, it may mean the end of his life. The scene of this film revolves around a public telephone booth on the streets of New York. It tells the story of a serial killer with a sniper rifle who lures a low-ranking advertising consultant, Stu Shepard (played by Colin Farrell), into answering a phone call and claims that if he hangs up, he will be shot. What do you do when you hear a ringing tone in a public telephone booth? You definitely know that someone has called the wrong number, but your instinct may prompt you to answer the call. When Star Shepard answers such a call, he finds himself involved in an intricate game. The caller (voiced by Kiefer Sutherland) says: Hang up the phone and you're dead. A fight suddenly broke out next to the phone booth and attracted the attention of the police, who also brought a group of heavily armed sharpshooters. The police believed that Star Shepard was a dangerous person with a gun, but they didn't know that the faceless caller was the real threat. A senior police officer at the scene, Capt. Ramey (Forest Whitaker), shouted to Star and ordered him to get out of the phone booth. But unbeknownst to Remy and his fellow cops, the swarm of reporters, and Star's wife, Kelly Shepard (Radha Mitchell), and potential Star client Pamela McFadden (Katie Holmes), are all within range of the caller's powerful sniper rifle. As the afternoon wears on and evening approaches, Star Shepard, unethical and selfish, must now face a sudden and unexpected moral test as his emotions are completely controlled by the caller. Star's past lies, half-truths, and confusion are no longer cause for concern. Instead, he must reach deep into his soul to find the courage and strength to defeat the caller, and the game he will play is harder than it is to win.
