This film is adapted from a true story, telling the bloody feuds of the New York Mafia, and reducing the so-called "gangster morality" to the ugliness and greed of human nature. Henry Hill (played by Ray Liotta) has been uneducated since childhood. He followed the boss Paulie and relied on collecting protection fees, smuggling, and robbery. He married a beautiful wife Karen, had a lovely daughter, a charming mistress, luxury cars and mansions, and lived a comfortable life. Jimmy Conway (played by Robert De Niro) and Tommy (played by Joe Pesci) are Henry's good friends. The three of them experienced many things together: killing Billy Bates, the Italian Mafia leader who humiliated Tommy; planning the German Airlines robbery, killing his accomplices, and embezzling the stolen money; and even selling drugs behind the boss Paulie's back. Of course, in addition to enjoying the power brought by money, their lives are more turbulent: Tommy was shot because of Billy Bates' death; Henry himself was arrested by the police for drug trafficking, and others were also implicated. Karen tried her best to bail Henry out. At this time, they had nothing, were isolated and in danger. They had to do everything they could to survive, no matter what the method and the price...
