High school student Harumi Kazuto (Sakurai Takahiro) is an incurable reading idiot. In order to read newly published books as soon as possible, he worked hard to get into a prestigious school in Tokyo, and lived alone here, with books as his companions all day long. In his collection, Harumi especially prefers the works of mysterious writer Shinobu Akiyama with varied styles. One day, Harumi's coffee shop was suddenly attacked by gangsters. In order to protect a girl who was only concerned with writing behind him, he was brutally killed by the gangsters. Harumi, who was heading to another world, hoped to finish reading the last novel of Shinobu Akiyama's "Big Sin Series" anyway. With this obsession, he returned to the world, but who knew that he leaned over a long-haired dachshund. Not long after, the dog Harumi met a strange girl Natsuya Kirihime (voiced by Marina Inoue) who could understand his voice, and the other identity of the other party was Shinobu Akiyama. A reading addict meets a writing addict, and an interesting story begins... This film is adapted from the original work of the same name by Shunsuke Koei (original work) and Tetsuhiro Nabeshima (illustration).
