The film was planned, invested and produced by a Korean production company, with participation from famous Hollywood producers such as Jay Steinheim, who produced the Rush Hour series. The film is a joint project that South Korea and the United States spent two years preparing. Clive Owen, a famous actor who starred in films such as Sin City and Closer, and Morgan Freeman, who starred in masterpieces such as Million Dollar Baby and The Shawshank Redemption, play the leading roles in the film. Korean actors Ahn Sung-ki and Park Si-yeon will play important roles in the film. The film is directed by Japanese director Kazuaki Kiriya, who once directed GOEMON. The film is set in an unknown era and tells the story of the brave and loyal general Layton (played by Clive Owen) and his beloved monarch Barto (played by Morgan Freeman) who are involved in life-and-death events while challenging corrupt power. The film is scheduled to be released in North America next winter.
