In 2045, the polar glaciers melted, and the only remaining oil and natural gas on earth were discovered in northern Canada. The town of Borealis in the play is a small town near the Arctic, where many people eager to possess these precious resources gather, including entrepreneur and hotel tycoon Vic Carboneau. Vic claims that he was the first to discover these things and should have ownership, but all parties want a piece of the pie, and a multi-party war is about to break out (the death of Vic's friend became the fuse).
