"The Woman on the Negative" is a foreign language film directed by the Japanese thriller master Kiyoshi Kurosawa for the first time. The film was released nationwide in Japan in the fall of 2016. The film "The Woman on the Negative" focuses on the thriller love story of the photography technique of the invention of the silver plate photography in 1893. Jean, who became an apprentice to photographer Stephen because of a trivial matter, fell in love with Mary, the daughter of the same family. Later, in order not to repeat the mistake of Stephen's wife Donis who hanged herself in the house, Jean prepared to escape from the house with his beloved Mary.
