In the desperate future, the world seems like a huge ruin, and everything is desolate and gloomy. Human civilization is destroyed in the doomsday catastrophe. In the case of extreme shortage of resources, the survivors do everything they can, and even cannibalism occurs. The whole world presents a hellish scene. A father (Viggo Mortensen) and his son (Kodi Smit-McPhee) are on an endless journey. They keep going south, looking for a warmer refuge, and the dilapidated supermarket cart carries all the belongings of the father and son. The road ahead is long and hopeless. The father keeps recalling the voice and smile of his wife (Charlize Theron) and their good times in the past, but now the good times are gone, and the father and son don’t know where the future will be... This film is adapted from the work of American novelist Cormac McCarthy.
