Twin siblings Jeanne (Mélissa Désormeaux-Poulin) and Simon (Maxim Gaudette) received the will of their deceased mother Naval (Lubna Azabal), but after reading the contents, the two siblings found it difficult to accept such a will: one was written to their father who had never met; the other was written to her third child - they didn't even know the existence of this brother. The film cleverly wanders in two different time and space: the mother spent her whole life searching for her eldest son; the siblings followed their mother's will and went to the Middle East to find their father and brother. But the more they searched for the truth, the more confusing the clues and shocking the truth they faced. This film is adapted from the play of the same name by the famous Canadian French writer Wajidi Mouawad. Director Denis Villeneuve was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 83rd Academy Awards.
