Introduction
Terrence Malick will direct another World War II film after The Thin Red Line in 1998. The new film is based on real historical events and tells the story of Austrian soldier Franz Jägerstedt (played by August Diehe) who refused to fight for Nazi Germany during World War II and was eventually sentenced to death.
