Gemma Malik was arrested by the police for fraud after winning 10 million rupees. Under torture, Gemma told the truth about how he won 10 million rupees - he did know the answer, but that's all he knew! Born in the slums, Gemma had a hard life since he was young. He, his brother Salim, and the girl Latika (played by Freida Pinto) have experienced decades of changes in India together. Every question before seemed to be a fragment of Gemma's memory, affecting his memories of family, love and life.
