Jonathan Pryce, Samantha Morton, and Tom Felton will star in the new film Save The Cinema. The film is directed by Sarah Sugarman (The Queen of the Teenage Prom), and Piers Ashworth wrote the script based on a story by Welsh writer Lorraine King. It tells the true story of Liz Evans, a hairdresser and manager of a youth theater in Carmarthen, Wales. In 1993, she launched a campaign to save the Lyric Theater from closing. Together with Richard Goodrich, the mayor of Carmarthen at the time (the film changed this character to a local councilor), she enlisted the help of Steven Spielberg and obtained the right to host the special premiere of Jurassic Park. The film is currently being filmed in Wales.
