The story begins with a newborn baby. Although Flip-flops (Jackie Chan) has extraordinary skills, he is addicted to gambling all day and has no goals in life. He breaks into houses with the landlord (Michael Hui) and Octopus (Louis Koo) and commits crimes in secret. After the only grandson of a wealthy woman (Annie Yu) is born, the landlord cannot resist the temptation of money and agrees to steal the baby to the gangster boss to prove whether the baby is the child of his dead son and his ex-girlfriend. After successfully stealing the child, a series of events make Flip-flops and Octopus change their outlook on life. Flip-flops begins to care about his family, and Octopus also sees the difficulties of his wife (Charlene Choi) and begins to make a new life. Under the threat of the landlord and the gangsters, they still have to hand over the stolen baby. What will happen in the end? Will the story have a happy ending?
