The 57th Division of the 74th Army of the National Army stationed there was ordered to fight to the death with the enemy, which was several times larger than themselves, under the leadership of the division commander Yu Chengwan (played by Lu Liangwei). On the eve of the war, the company commander Feng Baohua (played by Yuan Wenkang) postponed his marriage with his fiancée Wanqing (played by Ady An) to prepare for the war with all his strength. Huang Erhu (played by Xie Mengwei), a local Miao youth who had national hatred and family hatred with the Japanese army, joined the army enthusiastically. Before the enemy soldiers arrived, the fighting spirit of the soldiers and civilians in Changde was ignited! However, under the pressure of the superior firepower of the Japanese army, Deshan and Hefu were successively lost, and Changde became an isolated city. Yu Chengwan ordered the entire division to live and die with the city, and the soldiers of the Tiger Army fought for every inch of land with the Japanese army in poison gas and artillery fire. The No. 57 Division eventually sacrifices their lives, leaving a legacy that will live forever in the history of anti-Japanese war.
