Professor Lidenbrock (James Mason), who loves adventure and is full of longing for mysterious treasures, accidentally discovered a piece of historic parchment, which recorded the route map of a man named Alna who had traveled to the center of the earth. The ecstatic Professor Lidenbrock immediately decided to go on a journey full of dangers and unknowns to the center of the earth. Despite strong opposition from his friends, Professor Lidenbrock resolutely set out with his nephew. The two began their journey in Edinburgh, Scotland, after which Hans (Peter Ronson) from Iceland became their reliable guide. The three came to the crater of Snaefellsberg and entered the surface from then on. During the three-month journey, they experienced all kinds of bizarre phenomena, met countless strange animals and plants, and even encountered mysterious races.
