Vader Darth (David Prowse) secretly captured the starship of Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) of Alderaan. In a critical moment, Leia ordered the robot R2-D2 (Kenny Baker) to carry important information to ask for help from the reclusive Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness). R2 successfully escaped from the spaceship, but was captured by the Jawas on the way to find Obi-Wan and sold to farmer Owen (Phil Brown). R2 had to escape again. The next day, Owen's nephew Luke (Mark Hamill) found R2 and was attacked by three Sandmen. Fortunately, Obi-Wan appeared in time to scare the Sandmen away. Luke returned home and found that Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru (Shelagh Fraser) had been killed by the Imperial Stormtroopers who were chasing R2, so he decided to follow Obi-Wan to learn the way of the Force and become a Jedi.
