One day in the future, the energy of the whole world suddenly disappeared mysteriously, including mobile phones, computers, cars, airplanes and even electric lights. People began to use those weapons of the cold weapon era to protect themselves. Everyone lives in a small village dominated by various militia soldiers. There is no "government" on the earth anymore. These militia forces have replaced the role of the government. Captain Tom of the Monroe Militia asked to take Ben away. Ben's son Danny tried to stop being taken away, but Ben was hit by a soldier. Before dying, Ben asked his daughter Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) to go to Chicago to find him. Brother Miles (Billy Burke) is the only one who can save Danny. After burying his father, Charlie embarked on a journey. Small town doctor Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips) and scholar Aaron (Zak Orth) also joined the team.
