In the future world, the power of science and technology is more powerful than anything else. Genes determine destiny, which has almost become a golden rule. Unfortunately, Vincent (Ethan Hawke) is a person with poor genes. He has been short-sighted and has heart disease since birth, and he can only live to 30 years old. So his parents added a younger brother with good genes to Vincent. Vincent's dream is to roam in space, but his bad genes make it impossible for him to realize his dream until he meets Jerome (Jude Law) at the space center. Jerome has excellent genes, but he was paralyzed in an accident. The two decided to exchange identities.
