Description:Bruno (Asa Butterfield), an eight-year-old boy, and his family moved from Berlin to the countryside following a transfer order from his father, a Nazi officer. Having lost his friends, Bruno soon became interested in the "farm" near his new home, where a group of people in "striped pajamas" were busy all day long, and one of them served Bruno's family, whom he described as dirty and cautious. The surrounding environment and Bruno's behavior made his mother secretly worried, but his Nazi father stopped any behavior in the family that doubted the established policies. Bruno secretly got acquainted with Schmuel, a boy of the same age on the other side of the barbed wire, and often brought him food. In the tense family atmosphere and his sister's transition to the adult world, Schmuel was Bruno's only friend. One day Bruno decided to go to the other side of the barbed wire in order to see Schmuel.
