The story is set in the future. Willis runs an entertainment venue called Fantasy World, which has a group of robots that act as victims of various cruel crimes that cannot be committed in real life. The robots are restarted every night to erase their memories of the previous 24 hours, but the restart process does not work for one robot (played by Amby Childs). It has memories and self-awareness and escapes from Fantasy World, which is like hell for it. It, together with the policeman played by Thomas Jane, who is determined to bring down Fantasy World, and the robot designer played by Jonathan Schaech, attack Willis.
