Description:In the middle of the Qing Dynasty, there were internal and external troubles, the collapse of traditions, and people's livelihood was in decline. The little boy Yang Luchan was born with a fleshy corner on his forehead and a strange appearance, but he could only eat and smile foolishly. Everyone believed that he could only eat and wait for death in this life. Only Yang's mother (played by Shu Qi) believed that her son Luchan (played by Yuan Xiaochao) was gifted and would become a great man in the future. As he grew older, Luchan gradually showed extraordinary abilities-he could remember all kinds of boxing and kicking moves, especially once the fleshy corner on the top of his head was touched, he would be extremely powerful and no one could defeat him. The expert pointed out that if he could make good use of this talent, he would become a top master, but if he allowed its color to turn from red to black, his life would be in danger. Luchan wandered all the way to Chenjiagou, the birthplace of Tai Chi, hoping to learn boxing to save his life. Unexpectedly, Chen's boxing was not passed on to outsiders, but fortunately, there was a mysterious old man (played by Tony Leung) who always helped at critical moments.

Luchan made rapid progress and impressed the villagers. The usually peaceful mountain village is facing the crisis of extinction because of the construction of railways by the imperial court. Fang Zijing (played by Eddie Peng), the chief engineer of Zhili Railway, who grew up in Chenjiagou and returned from the UK after studying, is willing to sacrifice the interests of his fellow villagers for his own future. Yu Niang (played by Angelababy) and Zijing's childhood sweethearts are heartbroken by the betrayal of their lovers and decide to protect their homes at the cost of their lives. Zijing led the mechanical monster "Troy" to the entrance of the village and threatened the villagers to move out within a time limit, otherwise they would be razed to the ground. Under the guidance of the mysterious old man, Lu Chan fought side by side with Yu Niang, destroyed Troy in one fell swoop, repelled the Qing soldiers, and saved the entire village. Fang Zijing, who fell into madness, vowed to retaliate with more powerful firepower, and Yu Niang also made a major decision...
