Adapted from a true story, it tells the story of Bai Xiangya (Han Ji-min), who had a history of attempted murder. She was abused and abandoned by her mother when she was a child. When she grew up, she didn't trust anyone, was indifferent to everything, and lived a lonely and alienated life. One winter, she met a little girl named Ji-eun (Kim Si-ah), who was wearing shabby clothes, trembling with a thin body, standing helplessly on the street. She couldn't help but think of her young self. When she found that the little girl was abused by her father and stepmother, she couldn't sit idly by and watched this child who looked like herself. She was determined to help her escape the cruel reality, even if it meant fighting against the world.
