Amazon has ordered an 8-episode sci-fi series "Tales From The Loop", based on the sci-fi paintings created by Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag, written by Nathaniel Halpern (Legion), directed by Mark Romanek (Don't Let Me Go, Vinyl), and co-produced by Matt Reeves' production company 6th & Idaho, Sweden's Indio, and Fox21. The painting explores the lives of a group of people living on "The Loop", a machine designed to explore and unravel the mysteries of the universe, which makes things possible that were previously only in science fiction. In this fantastic and mysterious town, poignant human stories are told, telling naked universal emotional experiences while taking advantage of the tricks of genre narratives.
