When building Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar, John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) used the nearby Isla Sorna as a dinosaur manufacturing factory. After the fall of Jurassic Park, the dinosaurs on Isla Sorna survived for four years in complete isolation and lack of necessary synthetic elements. Hammond was quite curious about this, so he found Dr. Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) again and invited him to visit the island. Malcolm was still frightened by the experience four years ago, and he flatly rejected Hammond's proposal, but when he learned that his girlfriend Sarah (Julianne Moore) had gone to the island, he had to follow the expedition team and set off.
