In 1982, a three-member Antarctic expedition team affiliated with Norway was traveling in the ice field and accidentally discovered a strange ship from one million years ago, and found mysterious creatures frozen in the ice nearby. The talented and beautiful American paleontologist Kate Lloyd (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) went to Antarctica with a group of scientific researchers at the invitation of Dr. Sandor Halvorson (Ulrich Thomsen).
