The new season of CSI will no longer use "Who Are You" as the theme song. The producers are considering whether to replace the theme song with Clash's "Do I Stay or Should I Go?". In the last episode of last season, Sara Sidle (Joria Fox) was trapped under a car in the Nevada desert by a serial killer. The heavy rain will soon drown her, and Gil Grissom (William Petersen), her boyfriend and boss, and other investigators are trying their best to rescue her. Whether Sara can make it through this level depends on the condition of the car and whether Fox TV can renew the contract with this popular CBS actor. Will Sara stay? Production director Naren Shankar did not reveal the news. He said that the audience will definitely be satisfied with the result. In the new episode, everything will be revealed at the last moment. Rumors about Sara's fate have been rife throughout the summer. Official news revealed that a new female character will appear in the third episode of the new season. Production director Carol Mendelsohn said that this new character may be a field investigator or a technical analyst. But neither will reveal Sara's fate. Shankar said during the opening ceremony of the new season on September 27 that the audience will find out the truth in this episode. In the last season's finale, the killer left a miniature crime scene for Grissom. For the first episode of the eighth season, the set designers built a life-size model on a Hollywood studio, including a hydraulically lifted car and 28,000 gallons of water. Shankar has repeatedly expressed his doubts about whether Fox TV would be able to accept such a shooting method. As a key part of the shooting, Sara was trapped under the car, surrounded by circulating water. Shankar said he was a little nervous. Although Joria is an experienced actor and the safety factor of the shooting is almost 100%, you can't help but feel a knot in your stomach when you see such a scene. It may be a little scary, but during the shooting, some other crew members who were not going to be in the scene also came to watch. "They were amazed at our set," Shankar said. "When they saw the shooting scene, they were all shocked by these things." It feels like they are deeply involved in it. Wonderful plots are all in the golden autumn of September. CSI is an innovative, new type of crime drama because the characters use cutting-edge forensic tools to examine the evidence to solve the case. Rather than a 'who dunnit' cop show (investigating witnesses/suspects), CSI explores the 'how dunnit'. CSI has been the number one scripted series in the Neilsen ratings for four years running. CSI is now heading into it's seventh, and sure to be an amazing season
