This crime drama, starring three Emmy Award-winning actors John Wells, Ann Biderman and Chris Chulack, tells the police stories of the Los Angeles Police Department from a unique perspective. From the beautiful Malibu Beach to the intricate streets of East Los Angeles, their figures are active everywhere - they have to fight criminals, deal with victims, and also ask for the understanding and support of their families. Michael Cudlitz ("A River Runs Through It") plays the experienced senior police officer John Cooper, who is ordered to guide the rookie Ben Sherman (Benjamin McKenzie, "The O.C.") of the police force. Cooper's loyal, serious, pragmatic and result-oriented work attitude makes the impetuous Sherman doubt whether he can be a qualified police officer. Female detective Lydia Adams (Regina King, "Ray," "Jerry Maguire") lives with her mother, and taking care of her mother is her top priority now. Her partner Russell Clarke (Tom Everett Scott, "Boiler Room") is an unhappy married man with three children at home. Detective Daniel "Sal" Salinger (Michael McGrady, "The Thin Red Line") is the head of the criminal investigation team, and Detectives Nate Moretta (Kevin Alejandro, "Drive," "Ugly Betty") and Sammy Bryant (Shawn Hatosy, "Alpha Dog") are under his command. Patrolman Chickie Brown (Arija Bareikis, "Crossing Jordan") is a single mother who dreams of becoming the first female member of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) one day.
