The new drama "City On Fire" developed by the two main creators of "Gossip Girl" Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage on AppleTV is scheduled to premiere on May 12. This eight-episode series will be updated with three episodes in the first week of the premiere, and one episode will be updated every Friday thereafter, and the season will end on June 16. This is the first project that Josh and Stephanie have signed a first-look cooperation agreement with the streaming media earlier. Similar to "Gossip Girl", the story is also adapted from the novel of the same name. The novel written by Garth Risk Hallberg tells the story of a young girl "Samantha Cicciaro" being shot in Central Park, New York on July 4, 2003. At that time, everyone was watching fireworks, so there were no witnesses and not much physical evidence. Before the incident, she was watching her friend's band's performance in her favorite nightclub, and she went out to meet her friends temporarily but never came back. As the police investigation deepened, everyone was surprised to find that she was not only connected to the music circle in downtown New York, but also had close ties with the wealthy real estate family in the Upper East Side. Jemima Kirke, who played Hope in Sex Education, plays Regan, the daughter of a Manhattan real estate tycoon who strives to succeed on her own. Ashley Zukerman, who played Nate in Succession, plays her husband Keith, whose charm helps him get back on his feet after failure. Nico Tortorella, who played Josh in The Young Generation, plays William, a talented but self-destructive artist. Xavier Clyde plays his boyfriend Mercer, who came to New York from rural Georgia, wrote an outstanding novel, and embraced his true self. Max Milner, a singer who starred in Bad Boys, plays Nicky Chaos, a charismatic activist who is also committed to fighting elitism with a group of friends. Alexandra Doke, who played Cindy in Season 16 of Grey's Anatomy, plays Sewer Girl, a key member of the team. "Ali Parsa", played by "Dr. Pershing" Omid Abtahi in "The Mandalorian", is the detective responsible for investigating the murder of Samantha; "Audrey" Kathleen Munroe in "Harbor" is his partner "PJ McFadden"; as for John Cameron Mitchell, who previously played "Joe Exotic" in "Joe vs. Carol", he plays "Amory", an influential and powerful executive in Manhattan who is ruthless but equally charming.
