It tells the story of people living in Waikiki, a guesthouse in Itaewon, Seoul. Kim Jung-hyun plays Kang Dong-gu, who dreams of becoming a film director. He is the CEO of Waikiki and a freelance performer. He dreams of becoming the second Bong Joon-ho, but in real life he makes a living by shooting profitable videos. Lee Yi-kyung plays Cheon Joon-ki, Dong-gu's college senior. Because his father is an actor, he dreams of becoming an actor but has no acting talent. He is a livelihood actor who will take any role if he can make money. Son Seung-won plays Bong Doo-sik, Dong-gu's college classmate. He is the co-CEO of Waikiki and a freelance writer, but he is actually semi-unemployed. Jung In-sun plays Yoona, a single mother of unknown origin, Go Won-hee plays the younger sister of Dong-gu (played by Kim Jung-hyun), and Lee Joo-woo plays the naive Soo-ya.
