The former head coach, Kunimitsu Tezuka (voiced by Ryotaro Okiayu), who had been plagued by injuries, has completely recovered and returned, and Ryoma Echizen (voiced by Junko Minagawa) has also returned to Japan from the United States, claiming that he is just here to cheer. The first game that Seigaku faces is Rokkaku Junior High School from Okinawa. Rokkaku Junior High School deliberately faked an accident, putting Seigaku in trouble.
