The play tells the story of China, the United States and Britain forming an alliance in the Second World War after the Pearl Harbor incident in December 1941. Colonels Han Shaogong and Xie Xiaozhang of the Chinese Expeditionary Force went to Burma to fight together. They experienced the great defeat of the Chinese and British allied forces in northern Burma, the great sacrifices of our soldiers such as Dai Anlan, and the great victory of the Chinese Expeditionary Force in counterattacking northern Burma and western Yunnan. The play is set in the China, Burma and India theaters in the Pacific battlefield of the World Anti-Fascist War, with the fate of three generations of the Han family as the main line, combining the international battlefield, China's rear area, enemy-occupied areas and the anti-Japanese feats of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party into one, recreating the magnificent picture of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party uniting to resist foreign aggression.
