Agent Cohen is based on the true story of Eli Cohen, a former Mossad agent who went undercover in Syria in the early 1960s. Cohen became close to ambitious military leaders and their wealthy friends, earning an unusual amount of trust in Syria's largest covert operation against Israel. In the series, Emmy-nominated Sacha Baron Cohen (Who is America?) plays Eli Cohen, a man who wants nothing more than to serve his country, but does his job so well that he finds it difficult to break free of his double identity. Noah Emmerich (The Americans) plays Eli's Mossad chief, Dan Farrar, who tries to assuage his guilt over the sacrifices he made for Eli. Hadar Razen Rotem (Homeland) plays Eli's wife, Nadiya, who is left to care for their family and knows that something is wrong with her husband's government job. Walid Zuaiter (Colony) plays officer Amin Hafez, who thinks he has found the perfect ally in the undercover Cohen. Agent Cohen is written and directed by Emmy Award winner Gideon Raff (Prisoners of War, Homeland, Tyrant) and Légende Films. The series is produced by Alan Goldman (La Vie en Rose). The limited series consists of 6 episodes, each 60 minutes long.
