In an ordinary town far away from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis, in the not-so-prosperous Rabbit Mountain Commercial Street, there lives a group of lovely and interesting people. The heroine of the story, Kitashirakawa Tamago (voiced by Aya Suzaki), is the eldest daughter of the local bakery "Tamaya". She has a lively and easy-going personality and is good at making food. She is a childhood sweetheart with the son of the bakery "Ojiya" across the street, Oji Mochizo (voiced by Atsushi Tamaru), but the fathers of the two families are typical rivals in the same industry, and they keep fighting as soon as they meet each other.
