Introduction

In 1858, two years before the American Civil War, German bounty hunter King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) bought the slave Django (Jamie Foxx) from a slave trader and set him free. Schultz actually wanted to train Django into a lawless bounty hunter who would capture all kinds of wanted criminals for him in exchange for rewards. The genius director Quentin spent three years to make another masterpiece after "Inglourious Basterds". The film continues Quentin's usual low-key and luxurious style, with fantastic humorous elements and bloody and wild action scenes everywhere, as well as a strong group performance and a luxurious cast, which is full of highlights. "Django Unchained" won the 85th Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, and Christoph Waltz won the Best Supporting Actor for this film. The film was also nominated for the 85th Academy Award for Best Picture, Best Cinematography and Best Sound Editing.
