The story takes place in the late 1920s. Thomas (Jude Law), an unknown young literary man, came to New York, the center of world culture. In his pocket, he carried his autobiographical novel, which was spotted by an editor named Max (Colin Firth). You know, Max was the Bole who had discovered great writers such as Fitzgerald and Hemingway. After making drastic changes to the novel, the text was finally published smoothly and was named "Angel, Look Home". Once the novel was published, it instantly ignited the enthusiasm of the literary world, and Thomas became a hot new star in the circle. After that, Thomas began to work with Max to create the next work. In the process, the increasingly close relationship between the two made Thomas' girlfriend Irene (Nicole Kidman) light up the alarm light in her heart.
