The story begins with a confession by a high school girl, Chiyo Sakura (voiced by Ari Ozawa), who has a crush on a boy of the same grade as her, Nozaki-kun (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura), who is 1.9 meters tall and full of masculinity. The result of the confession is that she gets his autograph. Just when Chiyo was distressed that her confession line "I am your fan" caused a misunderstanding, Nozaki-kun actually invited Chiyo home directly. She was nervous and expectant, but who knew that a pile of comic manuscripts were waiting for her, and she became a comic assistant in a muddle. Chiyo then realized that her sweetheart Nozaki-kun was actually a well-known girl cartoonist. Although his works are known for depicting delicate girl's thoughts, Nozaki-kun himself is unexpectedly nervous and has no love experience at all. The prototypes of his comic characters come from his friends around him, and these "prototypes" are all very contrasting guys... This animation is adapted from the four-frame comic works created by Japanese cartoonist Tsubaki Izumi.
