Dakota Johnson will star in the new film "Persuasion", adapted from Jane Austen's novel of the same name. Tony Award-nominated theater director Kelly Cracknell will direct a feature film for the first time. This film is a modern adaptation, telling the story of Anne Elliot, a woman with trendy sensibilities and non-conformity, living with her snobbish and bankrupt family. When the elegant, fashionable and chic Frederick Wentworth, who Anne once sent away, reappears, she must make a choice: put the past behind her, or have a second chance to listen to her heart. Ronald Bass ("Rain Man" and "My Best Friend's Wedding") and Alice Victoria Winslow wrote the script, co-produced by Netflix and MRCFilm, and started shooting in May.
