In 1936, Lin Nansheng, a young student of the Fuxing Society cadre special training class, was taken to Shanghai by Chen Moqun, the Shanghai station chief of the Fuxing Society's secret service department, to participate in the task of arresting the "postman" of the underground CCP lurking in the Shanghai district. In the process of carrying out the task, the upright and simple Lin Nansheng was constantly inspired by the sense of mission and fearless spirit of sacrifice for the country and the people of the Communists such as Gu Shenyan, Ji Zhongyuan, Zhu Yizhen, and Zuo Qiuming. He had a deeper reflection on the chaos within the Kuomintang and the suffering of the Chinese people at that time, and had a deeper understanding of the beliefs and pursuits of the Communists. Lin Nansheng was brave and resolute in the struggle against the Japanese puppets and repeatedly made military exploits. In the face of national justice, he stood with the Communists many times, especially at some critical moments, he used his special identity in the Military Control Commission to provide great help to the Shanghai underground party organization. After hard struggles and life and death tests, Lin Nansheng grew into a true Communist Party member. And at the critical moment of the War of Liberation, he made outstanding contributions to the party and the country.
