This lesbian horror comedy is a parable about symbiotic relationships: Maya is a former actress who now makes a living by re-enacting one of her old roles at the local shopping mall and library. One day, she falls in love with Leah, a young Jewish scholar from London. When Leah suddenly develops epilepsy and becomes increasingly weak, Maya decides to follow her girlfriend back to London. Leah's mother, Chana, happens to live downstairs from them. She is a domineering and mysterious woman, and Maya tries to make peace with her, but to no avail. As Maya notices strange phenomena in the building, she suspects Chana's secrets may be much darker than expected - and that her beloved Leah may be carrying the biggest secret of all.
